If you still fancy the older Porsche 997 models over the new generation 991 like most of us do, then be sure to follow the Champion Motorsports tuning firm. They have used a 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S and transformed it into the popular Porsche 911 GT3 RSR race car. However, this one is street legal! This isn’t just a bunch of bolt-on parts hooked up, they went all out to make this one-of-a-kind sports car truly unique.
Focusing on performance tuning for the Porsche 911, Champion Motorsports installed two VTG turbos, a straight pipe exhaust, new suspension arms and custom fabricated several carbon fiber components. These CF parts include new wheel well housings, brake cooling ducts and a front floor panel. After the ECU tuning to wrap it all together, this powerful Porsche puts down 575 horsepower with 625 lb-ft of torque. Those figures are at the wheels might we mention.
Now it wouldn’t be a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR model without the proper styling and aerodynamics, so the tuners added carbon fiber RSR bodywork to the exterior. Along with this is a factory RSR undercarriage and a RSR sway bar. Some suspension components include Ohlins adjustable coilovers for a hefty $15,000 along with three sets of the super expensive Champion Motorsport magnesium wheels for $30,000. Add it all up and the tuning company plans to charge a whopping $399,900 for this Porsche 911 RSR transformation.
